Rich Ferrari is the Co-Founder of De Novo Ventures, one of the renowned venture funds with focus on funding medical devices and biotechnology companies. Rich is a serial medical device entrepreneur himself. He has served as CEO for two publicly traded medical technology companies in the past. Boston Scientific acquired his Cardiovascular Imaging Systems, the leading developer of ultrasound imaging catheters, for $125 million. In addition, CardioThoracic Systems (CTS), the market leader in disposable instruments and systems for performing minimally invasive beating heart bypass surgery was acquired by Guidant for $350 million. Mr. Ferrari was also co-founder of Medical Technology Group, which spun-out Integrated Vascular Systems that was acquired by Abbot Vascular, and Ensure, which was acquired by J&J. Rich is a serial entrepreneur and has strong skills in entrepreneur coaching, inspiring and mentoring first time CEOs and investors on how to achieve the most from their organization.
